Clayborn & Associates, LLC serves as the counsel to the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, (HAKC), which received a $30 million Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant (“Choice Neighborhood Funds”) to replace the Chouteau Counts public housing site and to revitalize the Paseo Gateway area. The Choice Neighborhood Funds were leveraged with other sources including LIHTC, Home Funds, MHDC funds, and municipal bond funds in order to generate the funds required to revitalize the Paseo Gateway community. As a result, the following projects were developed.
Rose Hill Townhomes. A thirty-three (33) unit townhome development for formerly homeless families and individuals with special needs.
Pendleton Flats. A thirty (30) unit mixed-income development.
Pendleton Arts Block. A thirty-eight (38) unit affordable housing development which will provide certain amenities to its residents.
Quinlan Row. A twenty-two (22) unit affordable housing project located adjacent to the Quinlan Place Project.
Quinlan Place. A fifty-seven (57) units mixed income development of town homes.
Collectively, these projects will have a transformative effect upon the area and spur the development of adjacent areas.
